The practice of Charlotta Barlach include set- and costume design, fine arts and slow fashion. Into the different disciplines she brings her experimental approach to materials and a focus on moments in which past and presence meet. Unconventional choices of material, powerful combinations of colour, elemental and legible communicating visual concepts characterize her designs for stage and screen. Barlach has a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Degree in Theatre Design from Wimbledon School of Art, now University of the Arts London, and is presently complementing her practice with master studies in Art History at Uppsala University. She is presently writing a master thesis about space theory, phenomenology and the Bauhaus artist Oskar Schlemmer (1888–1943).
